Defining applicable standards of care for healthcare (depends on the role established of the CLNC)

Clarify and define any deviations from and adherences to applicable standards of care​

Assessing alleged damages or injuries

Identify factors that contributed to the alleged damages and injuries​

Organize and paginate medical records for presentation​

Interpret, summarize, and translate medical records and terminology​

Identify & recommend potential defendants in a case​

Conduct literature searches and integrate them into case analyses.​​

Conduct research, analyze the validity and reliability of research studies for all parties

Identify, review and analyze relevant medical records, hospital policies/procedures, and other documents essential to the case

Expansion of the attorney-client's medical library

Conduct interviews for the client's key experts and witnesses

Consult with healthcare providers and personnel

Identify types of testifying experts needed depending on elements of the case

Locate expert witnesses

Communicate with potential testifying experts

Analyze and compare expert witness reports and other work products

Act as a liaison between the attorney and other consultants, healthcare providers, testifying experts, parties, and witnesses

Interrogatory preparation

Assist in exhibit preparations

Review and draft responses to legal documents and correspondence for the attorney-client's signature

 Prepare deposition and trial questions

Review, analyze, and summarize depositions, including past testimonies

Attend depositions, trials, review panels and arbitration/mediation hearings

Help prepare witnesses and experts for deposition and trial 

Development of written reports for use as attorney study tools

Coordinate and attend IMEs

Development of life care plans

Coordinate and assist in facilitating focus groups and mock trials
